Okay.. .. .. American Idol has been over for like a week now or something and I'm still upset about it. Here's the thing- I don't watch American Idol. Never, ever have. I think I watched the season finale the year Carrie Underwood won and that's it. I don't know why I started watching this year. But I shouldn't have. I became addicted! Then I would get so, so upset when one of my favorite people would get voted off. Seriously-reality television sucks me in but I hate it at the same time. I'm definitely addicted to reality tv. Which is strange because I've never been a huge tv watcher. I think it's because spring semester in school I didn't take a totally heavy load of classes like I had done before. My life for the past year has been SO busy and now it's slowing down and I don't know what to do with myself! Therefore, I get addicted to stupid shows.
I was so angry when cute, shy, mullet boy, Alex Lambert got voted off. He was so good! He should've been in the top two.
Then I was going for the weird, but weird in an awesome way, Siobhan Magnus. She made it to the top 5 I think!?! Well, story is, she totally should've won.
Now I was voting for Crystal Bowersox who is very unique and has a killer voice. She made it to the top two. Didn't win. Rats!!! Who is voting? Just Kidding. I like the Lee Dewyze who won too.
Good thing that most of them will be famous anyway because of all the recognition they get from the show! Simon the judge is done, this was his last year judging. Ellen is a new judge on American Idol, she's funny. Randy is cool. Kara cool too. I like all the judges.
Anyway, I've decided that for my own health, I will not be watching another season of American Idol. It was fun while it lasted but I cannot get sucked into something like that again! We'll see when next season rolls around if I am able to resist ;)

Here, There, and Everywhere!
This post is here, there, and everywhere. I think I've had too much sun and not enough sleep. So bare with me as I jump around from topic to topic. I ramble when I'm tired too, sorry! I also titled it "Here, There, and Everywhere" is because I had to go to Orem three times today! Sheesh! Feel like I'm all over the place. Actually, I think my brain got left in Orem while my body is here in Pleasant Grove!I've also been having some cRaZy dreams! Anywho.. .. ..
One year ago I graduated seminary. One year ago I graduated high school with honors. One year ago my hair was longer. One year ago my hair had blonde highlights and a dark red window in the back mixed with my natural red (I miss my color). One year ago I was tanner. One year ago I was smarter academically (college does strange things to you). One year ago I was dumber in life knowledge. One year ago I was 17 and living life like a rockstar because of all the graduation parties! One year ago I wouldn't have been drinking a "caffeine free, DIET, cream soda" (what's happening to me?). It's weird that I graduated a year ago, seems like only 3 months ago. But at the same time, high school seems like 10 years ago. It's hard to explain. Mixed feelings.
I'm upset that Crystal Bowersox didn't win American Idol. Even though Lee is good, Crystal is great. Who didn't vote? Just kidding.
Summer has begun. Actually, I finished my freshman year of college like a month ago so really, summer started awhile ago for me. But now the weather is starting to come around so it feels more like summer. I love summer.
Anyway, life is good, really good.
I hope everyone is having a great week!
My latest song obsession is posted below. Yeah, it's SugarLand. That's not all I listen to you know, even though it seems like it! Right now the cd in my car is a mix with pink, 50 cent, ester dean, ac/dc, nickelback, beyonce', etc. I'm a freakin' jukebox baby. But this is my recent song that I love, this and SugarLand singing a beyonce' song. Each week I'm obsessed with a new song! It was performed on a Brooks & Dunn tribute about a week ago. So it's already a Brooks & Dunn song but it was rearranged and performed by SugarLand. Now I'm determined to learn the piano part, sounds awesome! Watch it even if you don't like country, it's just great musical talent!! If you don't like it, well then, I'm sorry. Her voice is twangy, but I love it! They talk at the begining and it's really hilarious but they talk for like 2 minutes, I won't make you watch all of that ;). So here is just the performance. Before you press play, scroll to the bottom of my blog page and pause the music. Enjoy. . .

My thoughts on facebook. . .
Alright, alright, facebook. Facebook and I have a love/hate relationship. I think that it is quite scary that most people have facebook. It's too "futuristic" to me. I like technology but this is a little over the edge I think. Yet, I have a facebook account. It is great to stay in touch with people that live far away and it is certainly great for high school/college students. Here are my issues with facebook/my rules for facebook:
1. Do not send me a friend request if I've never talked to you in real life, just because we went to high school together does not mean that we are friends, I have very high standards to accept my friend requests on facebook, we actually have to be friends in real life.
2. Do not write mushy stuff on your significant other's wall or put it as your status, EW, I do not want to read your personal love letters.
3. If you have a boyfriend/girlfriend I wouldn't be declaring that you are "in a relationship" if you've only been dating for a week, bad news, chances are, you'll break up. Only declare relationships if you are engaged or married, otherwise it's just a little too cheesy and junior high-ish. You can be in relationship and not have it posted all over facebook ;)
4. If facebook is your life, you need to learn new communication skills.
5. If we were true friends, I shouldn't be finding out huge milestones that occur in your life on facebook, pick up the phone and call me before the whole facebook world knows.
6. I shouldn't be able to find out about your entire life through your facebook account, that's just kind of sad, there is more to life than facebook, and you should respect your privacy.
With all of that said, facebook is great for certain things. But sometimes I just want to delete my account. Like I said, love/hate relationship. Not trying to bash or promote facebook, just simply stating my thoughts :)

Regressing?
I think I might be regressing. Seriously. I'm concerned. I'm in college, I'm an adult and yet. . . I think my maturity level is going down. Or I'm growing up? I can't decide which of the opposites it is. Is it just a college thing? I don't know. But I've definitely changed since last year but I can't quite put my finger on what this particular change is. Over the past year I feel like I've grown up in A LOT of ways but there are also many ways in which I feel that I've regressed. The regressing part is what I'm a little (a lot) concerned about. . .
Here are just a very few ways that I've changed in the past year. It would take a novel to write all the ways I have changed within the past year but here are the things that I think might be on the regressing list of my past year.-
Here are just a very few ways that I've changed in the past year. It would take a novel to write all the ways I have changed within the past year but here are the things that I think might be on the regressing list of my past year.-
- I'm a bit obsessed with peace signs. I just might be turning into a hippie. Seriously though, if a piece of clothing has a peace sign, a heart, or it's tie dye, I'm sold. So while I'm dressing like a 12 year old, I'm also not caring if other people think I'm weird, I am, get over it.
- Lately I've had the very intense desire to become a beach bum. Pack up my dr. pepper (pepsi, coke, etc, anything that comes in a caffeinated form {I'd take caffeine in an i.v. if I could}), sunscreen, hairspray, my hippie shirts, and my sunglasses and just head somewhere in the Bahamas. I'm in the mood to only be around certain people and not deal with any drama.
- Now that my car is back I enjoy turning up the music really loud and driving. I'm not trying to be a punk but it may come across like that. If you see/hear me driving around, I'm not trying to be "cool", I just like it loud.
- I giggle every time someone swears. Not like in movies or in music, but in person if someone cusses, I start to giggle. Can't help it.
- Shiny things entertain me.
- If I'm hungry/thirsty or have to pee, don't bother me because it will be like World War Three.
- If someone is bothering me or I'm having a moment of road rage, I call them a "kadurf". It's my own made up word (I think) and I use it. Sometimes, I even call myself a "kadurf" when I'm frustrated with myself. Yes, I'm a name caller just like any other 5 year old.
Like I said, I'm pretty sure that I'm regressing. A lot of people tease me and say "you're 18 going on 89" because I tend to talk like an old person and use old fashioned phrases but now they might have to change their saying and say "you're 18 going on 6". Who knows where I fit in. Here is the biggest problem-I'm okay with this change. I'm still responsible, I still have the same beliefs, I'm just. . . different and I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It could be regressing or it could be part of growing up. I guess we'll find out.
