Summer has arrived!

June!?! What happened to May? Heck, what happened to February? Time needs to slow down, I don't want summer to go by so fast. Not to mention that as of May 29th, I've been graduated from high school for 3 years. THREE YEARS! I am old! And sadly, not much has changed since then. I'm having a bit of a crisis over this, but I digress. . .
I hope everyone had a safe and fun Memorial day. I worked all weekend and it was CRAZY busy. Nuts. I did not work Monday, thank the high heavens. I was so burnt out after Saturday and Sunday, 'twas brutal. So Monday my friends and I took off to the mountains and did some fishing. It was such a great time. We fished ALL day and it was the best! We came home smelling like lake, sunburned, and with fish! It was a perfect way to kick off summer. We plan to do a lot of fishing this summer, wahoo!
Between working and taking classes this summer (so lame), I have been still trying to recover from last semester. I'm taking only one class this summer and it is so nice to have a little extra time. With that time, I will try and get this blog spruced up and up to date!
Hope everyone is celebrating the sun!

Blech!

I am so behind on blogging. I'm going to blame it on how much I loathe uploading pictures to my laptop. Too lazy! One day I'll catch up. . . and I'll be blogging about events that happened 3 months ago but hey, at least I'll get them on here. Here is some current news, I bought a scooter! It's a 1984 honda and it looks slightly ghetto but I am so in love with it. And it was soooo cheap! Just a few more minor things to fix on it and it will be officially on the road. More to come about that later. . . Another thing, why did they have to change blogger? Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to blog all over again because me and computers aren't always the best of buddies. Sheesh, I loathe change too. You think I'm going to stop ranting and raving now huh? Wrong, the rant continues. . . run while you can because this blog post is full of boring complaining.

Finals. Disgusting. Seriously, I throw up in my mouth a little bit just thinking about them. I don't know why this round was so much more difficult for me. I've taken finals before, this isn't my first rodeo but heck, this semester was brutal! Maybe because somewhere in my twisted little mind I thought I should schedule my nursing application tests the same week as finals? Horrible idea. I'm not trying to be dramatic or anything, but I seriously thought this past week would end in a nervous breakdown.
This week I took a math final, a physiology final, a nursing skills test, the t.e.a.s test (it's like the a.c.t. but harder and for nursing students), and an essay question test. The finals were just for my normal classes and the other test were so that I can apply to the nursing program. I was at school on Tuesday for 11 straight hours. Never crammed that so hard in my life. Big thanks to my lab instructor Robyn, who saved our behinds and stayed all day to help us study. I will owe my career to that lady some day.

Writing it all out it doesn't sound all that bad. But it was! It was soooo hard! I have never been so worried that I wouldn't get good enough grades in my classes or pass the nursing admission tests. Somehow, by the grace of the holy heavens, I passed everything. I'm still going to take the t.e.a.s. test once more to see if I can score higher but I honestly didn't think I would do well on my finals and that scared the living daylights out of me. A week full of studying my guts out, no sleep whatsoever, feeling like I totally lost my mind, lots of swearing, and lots of praying (how ironic: swearing and praying. Two of my favorite things. I have A LOT of work to do in the area of becoming a righteous young woman but I digress). Somehow, I survived and only went a little crazy ;)

I'm sooooo very grateful and relieved. It was such a long and horrible week and it's over and I'm okay. Hip, hip, hooray!! I'm not writing this post to complain and have a pity party, I write it to express how truly grateful I am that I made it through last week when it really felt like everything to do with school was falling apart. I'm so thankful to have the educational opportunities that I do, to have such a great job, and great friends who put up with my "crazy" side and who do crazy fun things with me on the weekends to help blow off steam.
Really, I'm just so very thankful!
Now, one week off from school and summer classes begin. So this week I will just be working, I don't even know what to do with myself! One week and the madness starts all over again. . .
