Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Gobble Gobble!!!!
The picture above is of a cool pin I have. It is a turkey that says "some of my best friends are turkeys" but the quality of the picture isn't very good. It is a cool pin. Anywho, I had a great Thanksgiving. My friends and I partied all Thanksgiving break long. It was so nice to have a break from school and just have fun. We did so many fun things, went to the movies, went out to eat, made 100 very decorative cupcakes (long story, haha), went dancing, laser tagging, etc. We had a blast all throughout the break. On Wednesday I went over to my Grandma's with my girl cousins and we made pies all day long, the usual, fun, awesome tradition. We had a really fun time with lots of laughs and made a ton of pies! On Thanksgiving everyone went over to my Grandma's and Grandpa's and we had a ton of food! We had a turkey, mashed potatos and gravy, stuffing, rolls, pie, etc, etc. We had the works, a lot of very yummy food! It was good to be with all of the family and have a very tasty meal! I am very thankful for many things. . . this list isn't even the tip of the iceberg of all the things I am very thankful for, but I will share a few (in no particular order). . .
  • I am thankful for my family, including the dog
  • I am thankful for all of my great friends, I don't know where I'd be or what I would do without them
  • I am thankful for Thanksgiving Break
  • I am thankful for food, sugar, and caffeine
  • I am thankful for education
  • I am thankful for the LDS Church
  • I am thankful for all the many wonderful teachers and leaders that I have
  • I am thankful for laughter
  • I am thankful that I live in America
  • I am am thankful for the sunshine

I could go on FOREVER about all the things that I am thankful for, the list really is endless. Thanksgiving is a great holiday to remind us of all the many blessings that we have. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving just like I did! Gobble Gobble!!!!

Luau with Elvis!!!

You know me, I love any excuse to throw a party. Well, school has been getting harder lately. I dont know if its just because we are getting close to the end of the semester and everyone is burnt out or what but it is definitely taking its toll on all of us. All of my friends and I had, had a tough week so we decided to have a spur of the moment Luau this past weekend (Sat. 14th). There were only 3 of us that could make it but it was so fun. Just a small, layed back, PARTY. It was snowing/raining outside but we were having a luau, it was awesome! We definitely had a good time. We ate and ate and ate. Oh yeah, and then we ate some more. We also had a great drink selection if I don't say so myself. It consisted of cream soda (one of my party favorites), pepsi, and sparkling grape soda. It was just great! We just talked, danced, had some great fun with the webcam on my computer and then watched the best movie of all time-Baby Mama. I think we've all seen that movie so many times we could quote the entire thing. But it never gets old, it makes me laugh so hard everytime I watch it. Anyway, the night turned out to be so much fun. We also took some great pictures and partied with Elvis! Ok-maybe it wasn't actually Elvis but it was the next best thing to Elviswhich is a life size poster of him. I'm telling you, all you need for a good time is great friends, food, caffeine, leis and Elvis!!! Enjoy the pictures...yes we are goofballs, but we have so much fun!
Its just sparkling grape soda, no worries. Silly Caecee :)

These are the fabulous cups that we decorated luau style. It was great fun!

Park City Reunion!!

Last weekend my friends and I decided to go up to Park City. We knew of a time share that has a hot tub and a pool. We love going hot tubbing but here is the catch---the locks on all the doors to get to the hot tub required a room key. Well, the time share is not ours but one of my friends knows a person who has a time share there and she was up there a few weeks ago and noticed the locks that require a room key were broken, you could get in without a key. So, being mischievous like we are we decided to go up to this time share/condo place and use the hot tub because you didn't need a key to get in! First of all, Park City does something strange to all of us. If you have seen my previous posts, we took a trip there during the summer and some crazy things happend but it turned out to be the best trip ever. Anyway, last weekend, we decided to head up just for a night, go hot tubbing, and come home the same night. We headed up and ate dinner-this is where the adventure began, at dinner some HILARIOUS things happened at dinner with the people sitting next to us (nothing bad) but I don't think I am going to mention them on my blog-it will take too long. So, we arrived at the time share, snuck into the hot tub and began to have a great time! We stayed for a few hours just having a blast. We laughed SO hard all night long. The pool area was outside and all gated in, the locker room was indoors but still inside the gated pool area. It was all gated in, if that makes sense. Anyway it was getting late and we were the only ones left at the pool and hot tub so we then went into the locker rooms and changed our clothes and goofed off for a little bit. I remember someone saying "we better go, they are going to lock us in" as we all laughed that statement off we soon walked out to the pool area as we noticed that all the lights were off. We made our way to the 12 foot high gate and noticed a large chainlink, padlock around the gate. Yes, indeed, we were locked IN the pool. There was no other way out. Katie started to panic and because Katie was having a small panic attack Caecee started to freak out as well. I started to laugh HISTERICALLY (I laugh in almost every situation, something is wrong with me). We yelled and for help but no one could hear us. We were definitely all alone and locked in. It was late, dark and very cold with wet hair. I then got the number to the time share office and we called them. I have video of the conversation but it takes too long to upload to my blog. This is the conversation---Katie: hi, we are locked in your pool Front Desk: Um, our pool and hot tub is locked for the night Katie: Yes, I understand that, we are locked INSIDE of the pool Front Desk: oh, i am so sorry ma'am, we will send someone up right away. We were then free'd from the pool as a maintenance worker came and unlocked the gate. This may not sound like a very interesting story. You had to be there. It was utterly, one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me. We were locked inside the pool for quite sometime before I stopped laughing and decided to call the time share office. We laughed the whole way home about our experience. I will never forget the image of~ Katie panicking, then Caecee started to freak out and the words "we are locked in, locked in a pool, how are we going to get out?" along with some other choice words~ out of my head, so funny! Moral of the story---do not sneak into hot tubs that you are not authorized to be in or you will get locked IN! We are trouble makers, we can't help it. I swear, everywhere we go something very unique happens to us, especially in Park City, I decided, it must be the high altitude that does strange things to us. I absolutely love it!!! We sure do keep life interesting! Here are a few pictures from our great experience... what fun times!!!
This was taken moments before we realized that we were locked INSIDE the pool area

This is us, locked inside of the pool

That is Caecee with her disappointed face as she looks upon the very large lock on the gate

Goofing off in the locker room

You just can't give us a camera, especially in a locker room or somewhere with a mirror, we get carried away ;)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2009!!!

Happy Halloween!!! I love Halloween. It is just great. The cute decorations, fun costumes, candy, fall, the make believe kid-like behavior, carving pumpkins, etc. I celebrate Halloween all October long. It is almost as good as Christmas. I don't like the gory yucky part of Halloween--but I dont look at like that, I do the fun happy things that go with Halloween. I also believe that everyone, no matter your age should dress up and get into the spirit of Halloween. Not saying that you go trick-or-treating because that is only for children but everyone should dress up and go to a party or just dress up and celebrate for the heck of it. Everyone needs some more fun in their lives, no matter your age. Even if you don't want the hassle of dressing up, at least get in the spirit and have fun with the Halloween holiday!!! I will be dressing up and celebrating Halloween like crazy every year until the day I die :) We did a lot of fun things this October. My friends and I went to a haunted house up in Salt Lake called "Nightmare on 13th" and it was pretty scary. Some of us (you know who you are, Katie lol) even wet ourselves. It was great fun, we made it out alive and then laughed about it still. Amanda was batwoman, Katie was baby mama (its the girl off of the movie baby mama, Katie looks just like her so we made a fake prego belly and a sign that we put on her to show who she was, & it was hilarious), Caecee was a lady bug, and I (Amber) was a bumble bee. Caecee and I made our costumes. We wanted to be a lady bug and a bumble bee but have you seen the adult costumes they have for a lady bug and a bumble bee? They are super sluty. We wanted to be like the little kid costumes, big and fat and non sluty. So, with brain storming and my Grandmas help (THANKS A BUNCH GRANDMA,we couldn't have made these costumes with out your help) we made these amazing, fabulous, coolest, costumes ever. We stuffed them with batting to make them fat, bought some fairy wings and spray painted them black, made antennas out of pipe cleaners and pom poms, made my stinger out of a witch hat and just wore spandex shirts and tights, put glitter all over ourselves, and we bought some cool fake eye lashes.....now the costume was complete. IT WAS AWESOME. It was the best costume I have ever worn. We were so fat with all the batting in we could barely fit in the car and my stinger kept stinging people and I didn't even know it haha! I absolutely loved it. We looked so cute. We decided that next year we need to start early on making our costumes so that all four of us can match instead of just me and Caecee. The night before Halloween we all dressed up and went to a Halloween party and then on Halloween Caecee and I just went and talked to some friends of ours in the Ward, I got pulled over on the free-way for speeding (no worries, I didn't get a ticket, thank heavens), and then we met up with Katie and Amanda and we just did what we do best --- goofed off!!! I had a great Halloween with so many laughs. I hope everyone had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN just like I did!!! Enjoy the pictures...

This is us being goofy, it was awesome!
