Season Comes to a Close but We ROCKED It!!!!

So, it is the end of the Softball season. Its kind of sad because this is my last year playing for the City on an all girls competitive league, in the following years i can play on a co-ed less competitive league. Anyway, it has been great. I have been playing softball since i was 5 years old. I love it! I've had a lot of great teams but this year was really fun. I had my friends that i have played with for years on my team and our coach was great. Our coach was the nicest, spunkiest lady. She would take us out to dinner even when we lost haha! We had great fun. I felt like this year i played one of my best seasons, i play 1st base and sometimes 3rd and i felt like i did quite well. I caught some amazing throws and got the out and i also hit quite well this year up to bat and got a few doubles. I saw a lot of injuries this year but i didnt get injured near as much as i usually do! Threw out my arm a few times, a few skinned up knees, and took a few hits by fast pitchers-yeah i dont know why they call it "soft" ball because the ball is NOT soft, it is hard and leaves some nasty marks. Also, not as many fights went on! Usually as least a few times a season there is a fight and someone gets kicked out of the game. But this year no one got kicked out....in the tournament there were a few little tiffs but our coach was really good about calming us down-thats a good thing because in the tournament things got a bit heated and if we would've gotten kicked out that would've been bad. Our team (RED SOX) was the only Pleasant Grove team that made it to the tournament which was a shocker!!!! We won our first games of the season then we lost a whole bunch but somehow ended up in the tournament and we fought our way to the top. We played mostly American Fork, Lehi, and Orem, along with other PG teams. As i said we were the only PG team in the tournament and we actually ended up taking 2nd in the Northern Utah County Region tournament....2nd PLACE-WOOT, WOOT!!!!!!!! We had a lot of fun throughout the season and i wish i had more pictures of us playing...but i dont! My team and coach were great! It was a loads of fun!!!Here are a few pictures of my team Red Sox jerseys this year, a picture of just one of the many narley bruises i got from a accelerated pitcher, the picture doesnt even do it justice, i still have a knot in my tissue on my leg from it-it hit me right above the knee so on my thigh and let me clearify-the picture was taken right after it hit me, it bruised instantly-haha pretty awesome, and a few pictures of the awesome trophy we won!!!

FANTABULAR GIRLS CAMP!!!

"Treasure the Bare Necessities 2009"!!!!!! So, this year was my last year of girls camp, that makes me really sad!!!!!!!!!!! Girls camp is just amazing to me. Its where i found my testimony, its just a place where i cant explain the feeling i get when im there. At camp, i feel like i can be me, the real me, no strings attached. This year was AWESOME!!! Im not going to lie, i was very nervous about camp this year. Our leaders are still fairly new and Molly-Sister Andrew wasnt coming this year because she is prego. So...it was a little sketchy. But it turned out aweosme! First off we went to Heber Valley Camp-cabins are amazing. They had heaters for heaven sake. You didnt have to bend over when you walked in and out like tent, it was rockin. The cabins are super nice, we had a whole pavillion, kitchen thing, flush toilets, showers-the works. It was the Hilton of Girls Camp. We met the General Young Women President, Elaine S. Dalton as she spoke to us and we unfurled the new Virtue value banner. A lot of the girls got pictures with her and along with all the young women and the leaders she signed our "RETURN TO VIRTUE" banner that we marched with! The challenge coarse was way fun with a high wire and a zip line. The lake was also really fun, paddle boats ha and watching Sister Adams get stuck in her life jacket lol, we also played sand volleyball which was a total blast. The hikes were really pretty too, they were a lot of fun. Also, one day some of the girl's mothers camp up and did pedicures for all of us and we had ice cream to celebreate Sister Adams birthday. Sister Taylor-Fid came up to do pedicures and since she was one of my old leaders it was fun to have her up there for a day, it felt like old times. Really my favorite part of camp was just goofing off, we were always laughing!! It was really just loads and loads of FUN, we also had some really COOL spiritual experiences. The pranks were funny....the remote control skunk is just hilarious, and the funiest part was Sister Rice, who knew about it and still freaked out! Also, Caecee and I put those snap/pop firework things that kids throw on the ground on the 4th of July...well we put them under the toilet seats----yeah you get the idea. It was hilarious!!! I could go on and on about camp, it really was just a total blast! Testimony meeting was amazing, these girls are truly remarkable. Camp was good for the girls and leaders. Friendships were made that wont ever be broken. Between the challenge coarse, playing games, hiking, Sister Rice almost blowing her eye brows off lighting the grill, singing camp songs.....JUST between everything---It was REALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all the Priesthood who helped and the leaders who put so much hard work into camp, especially the camp directors-Sister Baiamonte & Sister Hatch. I didnt really know some of the girls and leaders before camp but i am very grateful to camp because up there we got to know each other and form friendships. I LOVE ALL the leaders and all the girls.... but i have to do a shout out to Sister Rice---Shaniqua, she saved me! Camp was great but, like any camp there were a few dramatic moments where i about lost it on some people and wanted to go off on them and tell them to chill but she saved me! She kept me sane through it all and she also stuck up for me, when needed. She was usually my hiking buddy too, and that was really fun, we had a lot of good, hilarious times together...so thanks Shaniqua for helping me keep it together! Also, the weather was really nice, it only rained a few times. This was a total relief because i thought we were going to get snowed on, but we didnt and it was great! I wish i would've taken more pictures...i didnt take very many at all, i think its just because i was super busy. But they did put together a great slide show of all the pictures from everyones cameras at camp...hopefully we get a copy because it is a great slide show. Also, we all made tie-dye shirts before camp and we all wore them up there, it was totally rockin', we looked so cool! It really was the perfect year of camp for my last year, if i had the time or the room to write everything that happened i would. Like i said, i could go on and on about camp because it was so great but all in all, camp was FANTABULAR!!!! Thanks for reading this novel i've wrote and here are just a few pictures...remember i didnt take very many!!! And pardon some of the pictures....what happens at Girls Camp, stays at Girls Camp so really these are confidentil photos i am sharing lol and its girls camp so i dont look that great and... there were a few slap happy days where we were just being total goofs........HAHA!!!

CLASS OF 2009-its official!

So, i am now a high school graduate. Crazy! Graduation day was weird, i still cant really comprehend what happened. But i am graduated...i'm sure it will hit me when i go to UVU this fall instead of high school. Ah, its just weird! I dont feel old enough. Anyway, THANKS to everyone who has helped me through my high school years, family, friends, leaders, teachers....THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt have done it without everyones support! Also, thanks to all who came to the graduation, it was fun to see you all there! I have a lot of pictures from graduation day but i dont really have a lot of all my friends, it was really hard to find everyone but, here are just a few of my favorites....
